Abstract
This experimental studies were carried out in order to prove the effectiveness of acupuncture and moxibustion on the gastric motility in conscious rabbits.
The Bi-Soo(B.20), We-Soo(B.21) acupuncture and moxibustion are clinically effectiveness on gastro-intestinal tract trouble (abdominal pain, vomiting, anorexia, gastroptosis gastric dilatation, gastrospasm, chronic gastritis etc¡¦¡¦)
The following results were obtained by investigating the change of the gastric motility of rabbits by acupuncture and moxibustion at the meridian point B. 20, B. 21.
1. The average gastric motility was increased 45.9 percentage by the acupuncture stimulation at the meridian point B.20, the average gastric motility was increased 61.5 percentage by the moxibustion stimulation at the meridian point B. 20.
2. The average gastric motility was increased 68.8 percentage by the acupuncture stimulation at the meridian point B.21, the average gastric motility was increased 79. 6 percentage by the moxibustion stimulation at the meridian point B. 21.
3. The average gastric motility was increased 97.2 percentage by the acupuncture stimulation at the meridian point B.20 plus B.21, the average gastric motility was increased 99.9 percentage by the moxibustion stimulation at the meridian point B.20 plus B.21.
4. It is considered that effects of acupuncture and moxibustion according to this experimental studies on the increased gastric motility are concerned in gastro-intestinal tract trouble.
